A 66 year old Fergus man is facing charges after a routine boating safety check took a turn.
South Georgian Bay OPP were patrolling Penetang Harbour around 7 o clock last night when they checked in on a boat operator.
After talking to the operator, officers launched an impaired operation investigation.
The man has been charged with operating a vessel while impaired. He was also tagged with a couple of charges under the Canada Shipping Act, including not having a vessel license, or a working flashlight.
