LINDSEY MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED AFTER CRASH IN WELLINGTON COUNTY

TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH/ERAMOSA - On May 6, 2019 at approximately 8:15 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious collision involving a motor vehicle on Highway 7 at Wellington Road 29 west of Rockwood. Initial reports indicated that a white coupe had lost control and collided with a parked (and unoccupied) tractor-trailer.

OPP, Guelph/Eramosa Fire and Emergency Service and Guelph Wellington Paramedics Service attended the scene. The driver, a 23-year-old Lindsay man, was airlifted to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries. His injuries have been downgraded to non-life-threatening.

The road was closed for approximately four hours and the cause of the collision is currently being investigated.
