(TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH/ERAMOSA, ON) - On Tuesday October 2, 2018 at approximately 6:40 a.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of hydro wires and poles down on Wellington Road 39 between Wellington Road 51 and Wellington Road 30, north of Guelph.
Witnesses reported seeing a dump truck with its bucket raised tearing hydro wires down as it travelled southbound towards Guelph without stopping.
A portion of Wellington Road 39 was closed for several hours and has since re-opened.
OPP is asking the public for their assistance in identifying the driver of the motor vehicle.
