GUELPH – A Grand Valley male faces charges after a staff member at a Guelph business had a knife pulled on them Sunday.
Guelph Police say just before 1am, a male was smoking on the patio of a downtown establishment.
Police say when a staff member told the male he was not allowed to smoke there, he pulled out a large knife and poked the employee in the abdomen. The victim was not injured.
A male was located by police in the area and arrested. During a search, police say a hunting-style knife with a 25-centimetre blade was located and seized.
A 20-year-old Grand Valley male is charged with possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose and assault with a weapon.
