WELLINGTON COUNTY – The 16th Annual Fall Rural Romp is set for this Saturday in Wellington County.
The event is organized by the Taste Real Local Food Programme.
Nineteen Romp locations in Southern Wellington County and Guelph will be open to the public from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm highlighting local food and farm experiences.
Christina Mann, Economic Development Officer, County of Wellington says there is nothing more powerful than going to a place where your food is grown, raised and speaking to the farmers first hand and seeing how things are done.
Mann says they have a lot of different experiences available that focus on food, farm and agriculture.
The event also includes food demonstrations, kids’ activities, corn mazes, live music, wagon rides, and a coffee roastery tour.
Participants are encouraged to share their Rural Romp adventures on social media using the hashtags #RuralRomp and #tastereal.
