MINTO – Following pride decorations in Clifford, Harriston and Palmerston getting the go-ahead from council, staff in Minto received several letters.
One of the letters from a Minto resident, referenced councillor Judy Dirksen by name, calling her out for not being present at the September council session.
Dirksen addressed the comments at a meeting Tuesday.
She stated the letter was misinformed when referencing the source of funding for the decorations.
Dirksen continued to say she stands against the vandalism referenced in the letter, and also responded to being called out for not being at the September meeting.
The decorations were originally tabled by the Minto Pride Committee in a July meeting and received the green light to be hung from May to September in a meeting on September 19th.
