NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TWP, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charges local resident with four criminal charges in connection to an intimate partner violence and impaired investigation.
On February 25, 2025, at approximately 7:00 a.m., members of the Wellington County OPP were dispatched to a report of a disturbance at an address in Guelph-Eramosa Township.
As a result of the investigation, a 21-year-old of Guelph-Eramosa Township is charged under the Criminal Code with the following:
- Assault – Spousal
- Unlawfully in dwelling house
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph at a later date.
The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victim(s).
