CENTRE WELLINGTON – Centre Wellington Minor Softball has donated over $4,000 to the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington.
The donation was made after the association held the Jeanne Dalton Tournament in Elora at the end of September in honour of a former volunteer who passed away.
The three-pitch tournament raised $4,500 to benefit children in the community.
The Children’s Foundation is currently running its Adopt-A-Family fundraiser, which connects families who need support during the holiday season with donors who give the gift of hope and joy by shopping for tangible gifts and grocery needs cards.
Families are referred to the program by social community agencies in Guelph and Wellington County.
While Adopt-A-Family was originally a Christmas holiday program, it is open to families of all backgrounds and traditions to meet their needs and wishes.
