CENTRE WELLINGTON – In a show of a community coming together in the face of a pandemic, many from across Centre Wellington came out in their cars yesterday. Organizers of the car rally estimate there were over 100 cars that drove around Fergus and Elora yesterday afternoon to show support for our front line workers.
Leaving the Gates of Fergus mid afternoon, participating cars paraded by Highland Manor, Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Guelph Wellington EMS Fergus Station, Wellington Terrace, Wellington County OPP, Heritage River and finally the Centre Wellington Fire Department in Elora. While over 100 cars took part in the rally, people all over both towns stood out their front doors banging pots and waving in a show of solidarity for our front line workers.
To ALL of our front-line workers, thank you… from the bottom of our hearts for what you do!
