FORMER PILKINGTON TOWNSHIP – On Wednesday May 6th at approximately 12:40 pm Centre Wellington Fire Rescue from both Elora and Fergus stations were called to a report of a field fire on Side Road 10 and 4th line.
When fire crews arrived they found a field fire had been started by downed hydro lines.
Deputy Fire Chief Jonathan Karn tells The Grand at 101 that the hydro lines were brought down accidentally by a dump truck.
Sideroad 10 between 4th line east and 6th line east is closed right now while Hydro One replaces the pole.
