FULL ON AIR ANNOUNCEMENT:
The McGinn Brothers Big Game is pleased to announce a new initiative for this year! On August 21st, the organizing committee will be hosting “The Big Assist”, an all day radio-a-thon raising money for not only Big Brothers Big Sisters, but 9 other groups all in Centre Wellington.
The 10 Groups include:
– Big Brothers Big Sisters Centre Wellington
– Canadian Mental Health Association – Centre Wellington
– Centre Wellington Food Bank
– Community Resource Centre
– Elora Legion
– Fergus Legion
– KidsAbility
– Lions Club
– Rotary Club
– Women in Crisis
Our goal is to raise $50,000 in one day, divided evenly throughout the above listed charities. We will also be hosting numerous events that day including the following:
– A bottle drive – start saving those empties
– Hand Sanitizer Sales – We have lots left if you need any before then contact us as Ontario begins to open (Abbey Faris – abbey_faris@hotmail.com)
– An online auction for services – A way for local companies to donate services
– A video game tournament for the kids playing hockey with the winning team playing NHL players (40 Teams of kids will be available)
– A special announcement from Riverfest Elora in regards to their 2021 Lineup
– Numerous NHLers/Athletes and special guests calling in to the radio station that day entertaining people and talking about their experience in CW
– ZEHRS will be accepting donations at the check out that whole day helping us reach our goal
– Cocoon Interiors will be donating a portion of blinds sales orders that day
– Fraberts Fresh Food will be bringing in a large number of Sweet Corn that day and selling it with proceeds being donated to our total

We want to take this time to thank all of you for your continued support over the last few years! While this year will look a little different we are excited to keep this momentum going and look forward to seeing the kids back out playing hockey next year!
