Today (Sept 5th), Centre Wellington Councillor Neil Dunsmore is begun his journey, to raise awareness for mental health issues in Centre Wellington and across the country.
It’ll be a 500km walk from Elora to the Peace Officer’s Memorial in Ottawa, which is held this year on Sunday, September 27th.
Dunsmore is raising funds for the Cody Shepperd Project. The cause supports people and families affected by mental health issues and suicide. Cody Shepperd was a Centre Wellington District High School student and athlete who died from suicide in 2017.
INTERVIEW BELOW WITH NEIL BEFORE HIS WALK BEGINS!
There will be a team going with him towing a tent trailer to use instead of hotels.
September 27th is the anticipated finishing date.
