MEDIA RELEASE OPP

SAUGEEN FIRST NATION – On Sept. 13, 2020, at 4:11 p.m., Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a missing person in Lake Huron at Second Avenue South north of French Bay Road, Saugeen First Nation. A witness last observed the male swimmer out from shore in distress and struggling in the waves.

On Sept. 15, 2020, Grey Bruce OPP Marine Unit and OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit removed the deceased male from the water.

The deceased has been identified as Kevin Costin, 29 years old from Wellington North.
