WELLINGTON COUNTY – Many residents in Centre Wellington, Guelph, and Wellington County reported experiencing power outages on Friday afternoon, The Grand at 101 also experienced power loss at the station at around 3:20 pm.
In a tweet at around 4 pm, Hydro One said they were responding to an outage affecting over 11,000 customers in Guelph and the surrounding areas.
At 4:50 pm, Hydro One tweeted with an update saying that power had been restored, and the outage was caused by an equipment issue.

In a response to The Grand at 101 on twitter, Hydro One said the outage did affect Centre Wellington Hydro Customers, power has since been restored.

Wellington County OPP and Guelph Police also tweeted they were receiving reports of traffic lights out at numerous intersections.
