WELLINGTON COUNTY – Temporary traffic signals are now operating at the intersection of Wellington Rd 18 and Wellington Rd 26 (Simpson Corners) near Belwood.
Crews will also install temporary signals, that will be completed this week at two other intersections:
- Tuesday, March 30th at the intersection of Wellington Road 7 and Wellington Road 12
- Wednesday, March 31st at the intersection of Wellington Road 8 and Wellington Road 9 (shared with Perth County)
In an email to The Grand at 101 earlier this month, Joe De Koning Manager of Roads for the County of Wellington said “the intent is to install the temporary signals now at each of these intersections. The systems have been designed to remain in place during round-a-bout construction.”
Koning said, “we are on schedule to see all three sets of temporary signals to be activated by the end of March.”
The round-a-bouts are proposed for each of these intersections in the 10 year Capital Budget.
