NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(TOWN OF FERGUS, ON) – On February 23, 2022, at approximately 11:45 p.m., officers with the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on a red sedan on Queen Street East, in Fergus.
As a result of the investigation, Karen Lynn WESLEY, 44-years-old of Clifford, has been charged with Operation while Prohibited (two counts), Take Motor Vehicle without Consent, and Drive while Suspended. Laura Emielenne PAGE, 58-years-old of Clifford, has been charged with Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance.
The vehicle was impounded for 45 days as per statute. Both accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph
