ELORA – Centre Wellington Fire Rescue responded to a cattle barn fire just south of Elora Monday morning.
Fergus and Elora stations were called to an address on Wellington Road 7 at around 10:50 for the report of smoke coming out of a barn.
Centre Wellington Fire Chief Tom Mulvey tells The Grand at 101 that the firefighters were able to get the fir under control and get all of the cattle out of the barn.
Mulvey says crews from Drayton, Arthur, and Guelph also assisted.
He says it is too early in the investigation to determine what caused the fire.
Wellington Road 7 between the 2nd line and 4th line was closed but has since reopened.
