The lights have been dimmed for nearly two years, but Drayton Entertainment is back with a new season at its seven venues across the province.
There will be 15 productions on stage during the 2022 season, which will run from May 25 to December 31.
Artistic Director and CEO Alex Mustakas says when planning for their return, they wanted to give people options in regards to precautions.
He says not only can audience members choose which shows to attend, they can also choose what experience best suits their comfort level.
Drayton Festival Theatre will feature three shows this season, and will kick off with the return of Neil Aitchison as Constable F. Inkster in “Sorry, I’m Canadian Too 2!”
Mustakas says patrons can also enjoy the widely popular musical tribute “Good Ol’ Country Gospel”, and the rural romantic comedy “Buying The Farm.”
In general, Mustakas says they are taking a cautious approach this season, with less shows and a few more smaller productions than you might normally see.
He says the pandemic and public health restrictions have been extremely hard on the live theatre industry, arts and culture, tourism, and hospitality.
Tickets go on sale Monday.
