It’s a place for healing, and reflection.
The Groves Community Hospital Memorial forest was officially unveiled this afternoon.
A project of the Grand River Agricultural Society and the Elora-Salem Horticultural Society, the forest is dotted with trees and benches provided by those who are honouring loved ones who have passed on.
Lori Arsenault is the Executive Director of Groves Hospital & Foundation, says the project could never have happened without the support of those two groups, and the community in general.
And the forest will continue to grow, as there’s room for more trees and benches to be installed as the years go by.
