The Sensational Soup-Off and Empty Bowls: will take place on Thanksgiving Monday, October 10th from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Wellington County Museum and Archives.
This is Sensational Elora’s signature event to combat food insecurity in Centre Wellington.
Organizers say this is a fantastic way to share in the spirit of Thanksgiving and it promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Over the first 12 years of Sensational Elora operations (pre-pandemic), the event has raised over $120,000 that was split between the Centre Wellington Foodbank and the Centre Wellington District High School breakfast program.
Sensational Elora is welcoming new volunteer soup-makers in all three categories including professional, amateur and youth.
The winner of each category will receive a handmade soup ladle from Metallic Evolution and,the title of “Super Souper of the year.”
Anyone interested in participating can sign up at www.sensationalelora.com.
