Meanwhile, the Wellington Catholic District School Board says all of their schools will remain open to students and staff on Friday.
Officials say this will be a regular school day for students and staff who are not involved in strike action.
Should there be an ongoing withdrawal of services by CUPE staff beyond Friday, conditions will be assessed, and it may be necessary to close schools the following week.
Non-CUPE staffed schools including St. Joseph, in Fergus, St. Mary, in Elora, St. John, in Arthur, and St. Mary, Mount Forest will remain open to students.
