WELLINGTON COUNTY – Wellington County OPP say they have laid charges in a fatal crash involving a motorcycles and a sedan that happened in September near Guelph.
Back on September 20, 2022, at around 8:45 p.m., emergency services responded to a serious collision at the intersection of Highway 6 and Wellington Road 38, north of Guelph.
Police say initial reports indicated that a motorcycle and a sedan had collided and that there were serious injuries.
The operator of the motorcycle, a 47-year-old from Fergus, was pronounced dead at the scene. The operator of the sedan was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
As a result of the investigation, an 80-year-old of Guelph has been charged with Careless Driving Causing Death contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
The defendant is scheduled to appear before the provincial offences court in Guelph at a later date.
