BELWOOD – Following the fire that took place in November in the building where the Belwood Post Office was located, Canada Post says they have temporarily installed community mailboxes to allow residents to pick up their mail.
In an email to The Grand at 101 Valérie Chartrand Media Relations with Canada Post says “We are working to resume postal services in the community. We will provide updates to Belwood residents as soon as they become available.”
Chartrand says residents can access postal services at the post office located at 299 St. Andrews Street West in Fergus. They can also pick up carded items at this location by providing a valid government-issued photo identification.
“We thank our customers for their ongoing patience and understanding during this time.” Chartrand said.
Residents can contact the Canada Post Customer Service team if they have any questions about postal services online at canadapost.ca/support or by telephone at 1-866-607-6301 (TTY: 1-800-267-2797).
For the time being Chartrand says residents can use the temporary community mailboxes and can also access postal services at the Fergus post office on 299 St. Andrews Street West. They can also pick up carded items at this location by providing a valid government-issued photo identification.
