The Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB), Wellington Catholic District School Board, and 14 other community partners signed the fourth Guelph-Wellington-Dufferin Violence Threat Risk Assessment (VTRA) Community Protocol at a signing ceremony in Mono yesterday.
The VTRA Protocol is intended to be used by multi-disciplinary teams trained in trauma informed threat-risk assessment.
Members from nearly all protocol member organizations, including the Wellington OPP and Canadian Mental Health Association of Waterloo Wellington were on hand for the event.
UGDSB Director of Education Peter Sovran said being a long-standing member of the protocol comes with a sense of pride and helps to keep local communities safer.
Each partner has committed to working together for the benefit of their youth and caregivers.
