Wellington County could be getting two new traffic signals and 16 new roundabouts, according to a recent report. The future roundabouts include seven locations that currently have traffic signals.
Two of the roundabout locations would include the intersections of both Wellington Road 18 and 19, at Second Line.

The new infrastructure would add to the county’s current total of 38 signalized intersections and 10 roundabouts.
The report mentioned the intersection of two county roads with higher speed limits is the perfect spot for a roundabout.
It also outlined the process for choosing a roundabout location. Factors included the assessment of vehicle volume, delays to traffic and more.
