FERGUS – Students from the Upper Grand District School Board brought home medals after participating in the Skills Ontario competitions this week. The event at the Toronto Congress Centre, saw students from across the province compete against each other in various categories.
Students from JD Hogarth Public School in Fergus competed in the Provincial Elementary Skills Competition on Monday.
Maxim, Julian, Cameron, and Carter in grades 7 and 8, won gold in the Vex Robotics category.

Meanwhile, Centre Wellington District High School (CWDHS) students scored gold at the Provincial Secondary Skills Competition on Monday and Tuesday.
Landon and Mark won gold in 3D Character Animation.

All three CWDHS students now advance to the National Skills Competition in Winnipeg later this month.
