WELLINGTON COUNTY – The IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s will be coming locally on Saturday, May 27th.
Kitchener, Guelph, and Mount Forest will play host to the event.
The walk aims to raise $100,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society of Waterloo Wellington.
Larry Lutgendorff, Fund Director for the society, says dementia is becoming a massive issue across the country but also local to Centre-Wellington.
As of now $75,000 of a target $100,000 has been raised. In Mount Forest the walk will be at Wellington Park and at Exhibition Park in Guelph.
Lutgendorff is hoping for a good turnout of 500 people as the money raised is crucial to the society’s operations and the wellbeing of those who deal with Alzheimer’s.
Those looking to join the walk or donate can head to the society website.
