Three males face several charges as the result of a lengthy drug investigation.
Guelph Police began investigating in August of last year and wrapped up in early May.
Following a search of residences in Guelph, Kitchener and North York, police say large amounts of cocaine, fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine and other drugs were seized, as well as two loaded handguns and nearly $50,000 cash.
The estimated street value of the drugs was over $500,000.
Four vehicles and 84 pairs of high-end running shoes with a $25,000-plus value were also seized as offence-related property.
Following the investigation, a 35-year-old Guelph male is charged with 20 counts of trafficking a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking, possessing property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possessing a prohibited weapon. He was held for a bail hearing Tuesday.
A 42-year-old North York male is charged with trafficking a controlled substance, four counts of possessing a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possessing property obtained by crime over $5,000 and several firearms offences. He was also held for a bail hearing Tuesday.
A 38-year-old Guelph male is in custody on unrelated matters but will be returned to Guelph and charged with several drug and weapons charges.
