Wellington County OPP have charged an individual in relation to two fires that occurred on July 10th, as well as a fire that occurred on February 2, 2023.
On February 2nd at approximately 3:00 a.m., OPP responded to a report of a vehicle fire at a residence on John Street, Mount Forest.
On July 10th, between 11:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., OPP responded to a report of a trailer on fire at a residence on Durham Street and to a trailer on fire on Perth Street in the Town of Mount Forest.
As a result of the investigation, a 21 year old of Mount Forest resident has been charged with three counts of Arson – Damage to Property.
The accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Police say they are continuing to investigate these and other fires within Mount Forest.
