FERGUS – A public meeting will be held next Wednesday night in Centre Wellington regarding a proposed development at 961 St. David Street North in Fergus.
Per a presentation that will be in front of council at the meeting, the development would include a total of 49 residential units in what the developer calls an “under-utilized lot.”
The majority of units would be street townhouses. 37 of them and 12 single detached units forming an ‘L’ shaped development at the property.
MHBC Planning also hopes to add an amenity area at the corner of a private road and St. David Street, that could feature mailboxes, benchways, and play features.
This would require a zoning bylaw amendment to rezone the lands to R1C single-detached units and R3 street townhouse units.
The meeting goes at 6 p.m. in Centre Wellington chambers at 1 MacDonald Square Wednesday night.
