The long-discussed Centre Wellington Business Park in Fergus now has an acre-by-acre price tag.
Council approved the price per acre for the property off Dickson Drive at $450,000 at last night’s meeting.
The move follows the completion of the project’s phase one, stripping and stockpiling topsoil and earth, and rough grading of the future roadways, and recently the beginning of phase two.
The second phase involves the extension of Dickson Drive through to First Line and the creation of a culdesac within the business park lands.
Now, with a price tag on the lands, Manager of Economic Development at the township George Borovilos says there’s a target for what type of businesses will be welcomed into the park, namely within the manufacturing and industrial sectors.

Audio PlayerCouncillor Lisa MacDonald agreed these areas would benefit the township most in terms of employment.
Phase two is expected to wrap up in December of 2023.
