ELORA – MHBC Planning will be requesting a minor variance for an Elora proposed development Wednesday.
The property is located at 183 Geddes Street, and the meeting in Centre Wellington chambers will see the developer aiming to increase the building height from the permitted 12.1 metres to 12.8 metres.
One Elora resident, Gary Bryant, has submitted a written objection, stating “Its four-story height in combination with its frontage would make it a dominant building in uptown Elora.”
“From in front of the Cenotaph, Post Office, and Library, it will appear taller and bulkier than any other structure.”
The committee of adjustment session begins at 3 p.m..
Staff state no objections in the report that will be before the committee.
