ELORA – The 6th annual Pedal for Portage got underway in Elora Saturday morning.
The event is a fundraiser for the Portage Centre in Elora, which is a residential drug addiction rehabilitation centre for youth.
Ashley-Ann Maginnis, Associate Director of Development for Portage Ontario thanked the over 100 participants before the riders began.

This year the ride includes a 20km route, 45km route, 75km route, and new this year, a 100km route.
The ride is starting and finishing at the Grand River Raceway in Elora.
According to the Pedal for Portage website, as of Saturday, over $56,000 has been raised so far, surpassing the $50,000 goal.
