ELORA – A Wellington County Council meeting this week will discuss tenders for two Elora road projects.
On Thursday, staff will recommend council award a $1,728,400.00 tender to Steed and Evans Limited of St. Jacobs, for the construction of a roundabout on Wellington Road 7 and First Line in Elora.
According to the report work will include soil excavation, storm sewers granular base and asphalt, curbs and gutters, concrete sidewalk, pavement markings, street lighting and landscaping.
Staff will also recommend awarding HugoMB Contracting Inc. of Milton with a $443,165.50 project, for the rehabilitation of the Elora Gorge Bridge located on Wellington Road 7 approximately 1.5 kilometres south of Wellington Road 18.
The report says work will include concrete patch repairs on the barrier walls and substructure, local sidewalk replacement and aluminum railing repairs, in addition to temporary traffic control and access.
Council is expected to make a decision at a 10am County Council meeting on Thursday.
