ALMA – Children’s’ Farm and Home Safety Day will be in Alma this Saturday.
OPP will be present for bike and road safety at the event aimed at kids aged 6-13.
Secretary at the Wellington Farm and Home Safety Association Walter Grose, explains the event’s move to Alma is motivated by the need to make it accessible.
He went on to say this day will be focused around being interactive, giving children the chance to practice a fire evacuation.
They’ll also be offered the opportunity to do a chemical lookalike exercise.
Grose added it’s the first time in Alma for Children’s Farm and Home Safety Day in a long while.
New to the event will be skid and steer safety training.
The event runs 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. rain or shine at 7440 Wellington Road 17 in Alma.
