WELLINGTON COUNTY – Appointments can now be made for flu and COVID vaccines.
Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health are offering the same four vaccines as last year for flu, two options for those six months and older and two for individuals 65-plus.
The Centre Wellington Sportsplex will be the location for the Fergus vaccine clinic.
The flu shot is recommended for anyone over six months of age and specifically those in higher-risk groups, according to their website.
No drop-ins are being accepted.
Children under six months or those who have had a serious allergic reaction to the vaccine in the past should not get the vaccine, according to the site.
Side effects could include headache, tiredness, or weakness, but public health states these symptoms are usually mild and only last a few days.
If you have questions or need assistance with either of these vaccines, you are encouraged to speak to a nurse by calling client and community support.
These vaccines will run until April.
