GUELPH – A Fergus man has been charged with impaired driving in Guelph.
At around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Guelph Police were called for a driver passed out in a live lane at Eramosa Road and Stevenson Street North.
Police say officers noted an odour of alcoholic beverage on the driver’s breath and observed an empty liquor bottle in the passenger footwell.
The male was arrested and transported to the police station, where tests confirmed he had more than the legal amount of alcohol in his system.
A 41-year-old Fergus man is charged with impaired driving.
