ARTHUR – A proposed development in Arthur saw nothing but optimism from council in Wellington North at a public meeting Monday.
Developer GSP group were presenting a residential community with 51 single detached dwellings, 12 townhouse units, and accessory uses.
Chair Steve McCabe was in support of the activities included in the proposal.
Councillor Sherry Burke was one of the few to voice any concern, but still praised the developer on the design.
The community at 210 Gordon Street in Arthur is proposed to include solar panels, a storm water management pond and more.
McCabe went on to praise the development for its inclusivity of all home buyers.
Councillor Penny Renken was fond of the amount of outdoor amenities included in the proposal.
A final report and bylaw consideration will be presented to council at a later meeting.
