MOUNT FOREST – Wellington North Power says power has been restored to Mount Forest residents following a large outage Monday night.
In a post to X (formerly Twitter) at around 8:15pm, Wellington North Power said the Palmerston Transmission substation to Mount Forest was out.

In an updated post at around 10:20pm, Wellington North Power advised that power had been restored.
Power has been restored to Mount Forest. If you are still without power, please check your breakers. Still without power and are a WNP customer, please call us at 519-323-1710. Thank you for your patience. And thank you Hydro One and WNP crews

The service did not specify on what caused the outage, however advised residents to check their breakers if they were still without power.
