GUELPH – A 46-year-old Palmerston man has been given six months in jail for sexual assaults.
Following a week-long trial in September, Michael Hurst was convicted on three counts of sexual assault and acquitted on two others.
He was charged in 2021 with multiple allegations of sexual assault against two women between 2017 and 2020.
Hurst also faces a lifetime weapons ban and will be placed on the national sex offender registry.
The two-year house arrest sentence he is currently serving for another sexual offense has been paused and will resume after he is released from jail.
