Freezing Rain Warning in effect for:
- Mount Forest – Arthur – Northern Wellington County
Freezing rain continues.
Hazards: A period of freezing rain leading to ice build up. Ice accretion of 1 to 3 mm possible.
Timing: Ending late this afternoon or early this evening.
Discussion: Freezing rain will continue this afternoon, particularly for the higher terrain of the Dundalk Highlands. Lower elevations can expect a brief transition to rain this afternoon as temperatures rise just above the freezing mark.
Rain or freezing rain will change to snow late this afternoon or early this evening. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.
Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Slow down driving in slippery conditions.
Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance.
