MINTO – Council in Minto will be recommended to approve the final 2024 budget this evening.
The 2024 budget includes a proposed tax increase of 1.74 per cent, or $9.33 per $100,000 of assessment or $23.33 based on the average residential assessment of $250,000.
Minto’s proposed operating budget estimates a levy of $6.3 million in 2024.
The capital budget proposes $3.7 million, and according to the report is primarily dedicated to improvement in the overall condition of the town’s assets.
This does not include the county portion of the tax increase.
Staff say the plan was developed through a review of necessary capital projects based on asset management priorities and available funding.
The report will be presented and recommended for approval at the 7pm meeting.
