WELLINGTON COUNTY – Trees for Tots will be looking to break a record set just last year as the initiative enters its 12th Christmas season.
Trees for Tots is a tree collection service in the Township of Puslinch, the Village of Rockwood, and City of Guelph.
Repurposed Christmas trees are used for creek restoration, walking trails, and garden projects within the community, and funds go towards the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington.
Amanda Kavchak, event lead, says she’s hoping last year was the beginning of things to come.
Kavchak added to break last year’s new high, a lot of it boils down to word of mouth.
To thank, Kavchak says, are countless volunteers who make the fundraiser possible.
Registration is open until Tuesday, January 9th, 2024.
