ELORA – Centre Wellington Township will officially hold a grand-reopening for the recently renovated Jefferson Elora Community Centre this Friday.
The facility closed in March for renovations which included the replacement of the concrete ice pad, arena boards, ice making refrigeration equipment and more.
Mayor Shawn Watters says the renovation has removed barriers to the facility and will improve access to community and recreational activities for our residents and visitors.
Watters says recreation facilities are at the centre of sustainable, healthy, and inclusive communities and thanked residents for their patience during the renovation process.
The reopening event will take place this Friday from 12:30 -4:00 p.m. and will include free public skating, tours of the renovated space, speeches from local officials, and free hot chocolate.
