GUELPH – A Guelph man will be looking for another way to get around after he was caught yesterday driving nearly twice the speed limit.
Shortly after 4:30pm, Guelph Police was patrolling on York Road near Beaumont Crescent when the officer clocked a vehicle travelling 91 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.
A 21-yearold Guelph man is charged with speeding and stunt driving. His licence was suspended for 30 days and his vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
Police say those convicted of stunt driving face a minimum one-year suspension, $2,000 fine and six demerit points.
