MINTO – Much like firefighters in Wellington North, fire officials in Minto are upping their game when it comes to technology on hand.
The fire service took to social media this afternoon claiming it was a “big day.”
The reason? New self-containing breathing apparatuses, or SCBA’s:
Big Day today! 🎉 New SCBA! Important tools for us as they protect our airway from toxic fumes & harmful particulates in hazardous situations.
These packs last longer & are lighter weight which will increase safety & efficiency of our firefighters.

The MSA was the top option for Wellington North fire fighters as well back in October, much like Minto due to the increased battery life.
They too are now equipped with the new SCBA’s:
