WELLINGTON NORTH – Wellington County OPP have laid charges as a result of an ongoing investigation.
A 65-year-old driver from Wellington north has been charged with Careless Driving Causing Bodily Harm. Contrary to the Highway Traffic Act (H.T.A.).
A news release provided the following update:
“On January 11, 2024, at approximately 8:15 a.m., OPP responded to a serious, motor vehicle collision on Wellington Road 16 at Line 10, West Luther. Initial reports indicated that a white Sport Utility Vehicle (S.U.V.), a black coupe and school bus with students onboard were involved. Wellington North Fire Service and Guelph Wellington Paramedics Service also responded. The lone occupant of the black coupe was transported to a trauma centre with serious injuries.”
Neither the driver nor any students on the bus were injured.
