WELLINGTON COUNTY – Community Living Guelph Wellington’s day program will be making a return.
Now promised provincial funding to balance their budget until the end of the year, CLGW will be reviving the program that shut down in December.
Executive Director Cindy Kinnon says the process of a return is underway, with a goal to re-open the doors soon.
Kinnon also stated she hopes to see the program resume by the end of January.
This program, says Kinnon, helps adults with developmental disabilities in a variety of ways.
Kinnon says the defecit reached $3 million in December, which represents 13.5 per cent of their budget.
The push isn’t over, Kinnon added, for an organization she says provides critical services.
She went on to say supporting the five locations throughout Guelph Wellington comes down to working together to advocate for sustainable and predictable funding.
Kinnon added families and staff have shown incredible support. Now it’s time to keep the efforts up.
