FERGUS – A road in Fergus Remains closed following a small spill Thursday.
At around 9:22am this morning, Fergus firefighters were called to an address on Victoria Terrace for a reported spill.
While there is nothing for residents to worry about, Deputy Fire Chief Jason Benn says Gzwoski near Forfar Street is closed to contain the spill.
He says the spill has not spread into any systems and has been contained to the road.
Benn said it has been confirmed that it was a non-toxic substance.
In an update, Benn said fire crews have cleared the scene, however Gzowski does remain closed.
Drivers will need to avoid Gzowski Street at Forfar Street for the time being, until the spill is cleaned, which Benn says should take place this evening.
It is unknown at this time exactly when the road will reopen.
