GUELPH – Guelph Police is investigating after two vehicles were stolen and there was an attempted theft of another.
At around 12:40pm, Thursday, police say a resident near Victoria Road North and Norma Crescent reported his dark red 2022 Ram pickup missing from his driveway. The truck was last seen shortly after midnight.
Just after 3:30pm, Thursday a resident of Silvercreek Parkway North near Willow Road reported his grey 2012 Toyota Corolla stolen from the parking garage of his apartment building. It was last seen approximately 3 p.m. Wednesday.
“Police are also investigating the attempted theft of a vehicle from a south-end business. Approximately 9:20 a.m. Thursday, the manager of a business on Hanlon Creek Boulevard had arrived at work to find their 2019 Ram Promaster cargo van with extensive damage to the dash and steering console,” police said in a news release.
Also on Thursday, police say they were called to a report of an abandoned Dodge Caravan near Kortright Road West and Hanlon Road.
“The vehicle, which was found to have two different licence plates attached, had been reported stolen from Waterloo Region earlier in the week,” police said.
Police say it is not known if any of the incidents are related.
